Our Story

Med Black Transport is a private-pay, non-emergency medical transportation service based in Los Angeles, California. Sybil Mata-Michele and Nina Masco founded Med Black Transport with a shared commitment to redefining the standard of non-emergency medical transportation. With decades of combined experience across healthcare leadership, clinical social work, and patient advocacy, they recognized the need for a service that treats transportation not as a transaction, but as an extension of care. Med Black Transport was created to deliver a more refined experience, where safety, discretion, and professionalism meet the dignity every client deserves.

Operations & Compliance

I’m a healthcare professional and senior advocate with over 15 years of experience in patient care and home health management. My background in safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance has shaped my commitment to delivering reliable, dignified, and high-quality service. MedBlack Transport was built from a deeply personal mission to improve access and dependability in medical transportation. As a women-owned and operated business, my business partner, a licensed social worker, and I combine clinical expertise, advocacy, and compassion to create a service that truly puts people first.

I grew up in a small town in Iowa, where I was the first girl to play on a boys’ baseball team. That experience taught me the power of teamwork and resilience, values that still guide how I lead today. Outside of work, I spend time with my partner and close friends, and enjoy watching the Los Angeles Dodgers and Angel City FC, a reminder of the teamwork and community that influence everything I do.

Marketing & Sales

With over 15 years of experience in healthcare leadership and clinical social work, I have served as Director of Facility Social Work and worked across hospice, medical home health, pediatric disability services, sub-acute care, and assisted living, supporting individuals ages 10 to 100+ with compassion, respect, and dignity.

We founded Med Black Transport to provide non-emergent medical and personal transportation that meets each individual’s needs with professionalism, discretion, and comfort. My goal is to ensure every client feels valued, safe, and supported while receiving the highest level of care and service.

Originally from the East Coast, I have proudly served West Coast communities for over six years, bringing experience, integrity, and a deep commitment to helping people live with dignity and independence. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my significant other and my two pugs, as well as helping people grow and thrive, both in and out of the workplace.
